Teddy Bears' Picnic

Yesterday was our teddy bears' picnic and what wonderful weather we had for it! Before we set off all of the children introduced their bear to the rest of the class.

Then we all put a carton of milk and an apple in our bags, put more sun cream on and got ready to set off.

We walked all the way down to the other end of the school and on our way we spotted lots of bears hiding! When we got to the bottom on the field we all sat down and had our milk and fruit. Then we played a game! We played 'teddy bear, teddy bear, real bear!' which was a bit like 'duck, duck, goose!'.

We all set off waking again and made our way to the junior quad where we sat underneath the big tree and had some stories.

Then it was lunch time!

We all enjoyed our picnic in the woods and so did our teddy bears. Next we had to find the naughty teddy that had hidden somewhere! He was in a really good hiding place but we managed to find him eventually.

After that the children worked with a friend to find 24 bear book covers that were hidden all around. It was tricky work but lots of fun!

After that we took our teddy bears to the running track and had some teddy bear races! In the first race we had to keep our teddy bears on our shoulders and run to the other side with them.

In the second race we had to hold our teddy bears inbetween our legs and try to get to the other side without dropping them!

Then it was time to go home. We hope that you and your teddy bear had a wonderful day.
