Celebrations

We have been having lots of fun learning about different celebrations. Last week we thought all about birthdays. We even had some parties!

We had some party food but had to sort out a maths problem before we could eat it. The class was split into groups of 4, each group was given 1 sandwich, 2 cake rolls and 12 crisps. The children had to share all of the food equally and then they could eat it. All of the groups solved the problem! Well done.
We have also been writing cards and making party hats.
This week we have been learning all about weddings and next week we are thinking about christenings.

Please don't forget to return the slip if you would like to join us for Chinese New Year activity day on friday.
Have a lovely weekend.

Welcome Back and Toy Day

Welcome back! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. It has been wonderful to hear from the children all about what they have been busy doing over the holidays. The Reception newsletter for this term is available to read on the school website which has important information on about the topics we will be covering, dates for your diary and general reminders. Please take a moment to look at it.  Today the children have all brought in a toy that they got for Christmas. They have done some paintings of their toys and have written about them. We had lots of fun playing with them today.
Nativity photographs are still available to buy for 50p each.  We hope you enjoy the next school term.
