More baking
Today the children have made cupcakes! Just like the gingerbread men, the children did it all by themselves. They are becoming very good at baking! This time, every single one of them said they liked them. They were a big hit! Well done RS.

Gingerbread men!
As I'm sure you all know, last week we made gingerbread men. The children did it all by themselves and were brilliant bakers! Here are some pictures of them at work.
Of course we had to make a Mr England gingerbread man too! He enjoyed it with a nice cup of coffee. Then in the afternoon we had a gingerbread feast!
Well done to all the mummies and daddies who had a ginger biscuit at parent's evening! We hope you enjoyed them as much as the children enjoyed making them.

A very busy week
Last week was a very busy and exciting week! First of all we had a visitor from Tesco who brought lots of fruits for us to taste. We read the story of Handa's Surprise together and then the children were able to taste all of the different fruits from the story. We had orange, banana, mango, passion fruit, blueberries, pineapple and avocado.
Then, the Spellbinder came to tell us some exciting stories! That was lots of fun.
And finally, we had our book week fancy dress competition! Well done to everybody for making a huge effort, you all looked amazing! Also, thank you to all the adults at home for helping with the children's costumes. Here are some pictures of them all looking incredible.
Next, we went on a spring walk around the school grounds. The sun was shining and we found lots of things to show us that spring really is on its way! Hurray!

Reading together
As it is book week in school this week, this afternoon one of the Year 3 classes came to read the children some stories. They each had a Year 3 partner and enjoyed having a story read to them. A big thank you to Miss Wheatley and 3W!
Vegetable soup
Last week we made vegetable soup in class. The children all had a go at peeling or cutting up the vegetables. We let it cook over lunch time and then had a taste in the afternoon. Most of the children loved it!
